Very old question, but still wanted to answer as it me of help to someone who is looking for a solution.

Cold Turkey is not what it claims "Other website blockers are easy to cheat. Cold Turkey Blocker makes it almost impossible to stop the block once you lock it."

It is easy to by-pass its restrictions. Here is what you can do to disable it completely.

1. Open the Cold Turkey installation path in explorer. Ex: path on windows C:\Program Files\Cold Turkey

2. Rename the following files, to something else (append with x or 1 for example ServiceHub.Power1.exe to ServiceHubPower1.exe)

         1. ServiceHub.Power
         2. ServiceHub.Helper
   

If you encounter an error that the file cannot be renamed, with option to retry. Open task manager, kill the respective process and click on retry. And after renaming you can kill the process on task manager, and it won't be able to start back again automatically. You can repeat the same for the addon helper message host files to disable browser blocking and remove the extensions.
